About MyDNABank
MyDNABank exists to help people use their DNA for long-term genomic value while keeping control over how their data is accessed for research.
Why we exist
Millions of people have taken DNA tests. Many received an ancestry report, a few trait insights, and then lost visibility over what happens next.
The problem is not DNA testing itself. The problem is that most models were built around one-time reports, unclear long-term value, and limited user control over future data use.
MyDNABank is being built around a different idea: whole genome sequencing should support insights that can develop over time, privacy should be part of the architecture, and research access should happen only through clear consent and controlled analysis.
Our mission
We want individuals to understand their genome, protect their raw DNA data, and choose whether their data supports responsible medical research.
Turn 30x whole genome sequencing into clear app-based health reports that can grow as science advances.
Keep raw DNA data protected, controlled, and governed through permission-based research access.
Create a platform that can serve consumers, researchers, and partners across regions without losing trust.
What makes us different
30x WGS foundation
A stronger genomic foundation than selected-marker tests for deeper reports and future reanalysis.
Health reports, updates, privacy controls, and research requests in one user experience.
Researchers do not receive unmanaged raw DNA data downloads. Approved analysis runs in controlled environments.
Our principles
User control
The individual should decide how their DNA is used and whether research access is allowed.
Privacy should not be a statement at the bottom of a page. It should shape the architecture.
Reports should be understandable, evidence-based, and clear about what they do and do not mean.
Founder story
Consumer DNA testing opened the door, but it did not solve the trust problem.
Most people do not want a static report they look at once and forget. They want useful health insight, privacy, and control over future data use.
Researchers, biotech, and precision medicine teams also need high-quality genomic data, but access must be governed properly.
MyDNABank is focused on turning one genome sequence into an ongoing health asset.
Governance and standards
MyDNABank is being designed around privacy, security, consent, and genomic data standards from the beginning.
Designed around recognised healthcare privacy principles.
Built with data protection, user rights, and consent control in mind.
Designed around recognised information security management principles.
