Blockchain access history

Blockchain supports accountability, not hype

MyDNABank already uses a deployed blockchain layer as extra tamper-evident event logging for consent and access history. The goal is simple: make access visible, traceable, and harder to silently alter.

This record shows when requests were made, when you approved or declined, when future access was revoked, and when permitted analysis events occurred. It does not store your raw DNA data.

No. Your raw genomic file never leaves the controlled environment. If you approve a request, analysis runs inside that environment, and only permitted results are returned.

Is my DNA data stored on blockchain?

No. Blockchain is already deployed as an extra event-logging layer for access events. It does not store your raw DNA data.

Can I delete my genomic data?

Yes. You can request deletion of your genomic data now, in line with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR. Audit records may need to be retained for compliance, security, and traceability, but they do not contain your raw DNA data.
